Performance of Pink

I love the color pink. I identify with it. Those things are clear from the very beginning of The Performance of Pink, in which I speak both as and for pink. Not because Disney or other marketers sold it to me, as they have to girls beginning in the early 2000s, but because it is beautiful, friendly, and potent. Pink has been limited and diminished and monotonized, branded by marketers, when in actuality it is a nuanced color. I debuted this performance in 2003 at the University of Victoria, Victoria, BC, Canada, and the video was recorded in studio in 2004.
